5 Natural Steps To Follow For Beautiful Healthy Skin

Having spent my adolescence years with constant outbreaks of acne, I looked forward to getting older as I thought it would disappear. I found that as I entered my twenties; however I was still using topical antibiotics to fight the acne. I continued to get eruptions well into my thirties, which is something I never expected. I was always trying to hide. I grew my hair long, hoping it would distract people from noticing the redness on my face. Using concealer, I tried to cover the acne and I hated it when people would look at me.

Now, only a few years later I have clear skin which is healthy and actually glows. I can now keep my hair in a short hair style and never have to wear makeup. With my clear skin I have gained a confidence in myself I have never experienced before and when I want something out of life I am not afraid to go after it. This new freedom in life isn’t about adding anything or doing anything more; it’s about simplifying my life.

These five natural changes have transformed me from the red-faced person always trying to hide to a clear, healthy faced person with confidence in myself:

1. Remove processed sugar from daily diet.

My face began to show an incredible difference when I removed processed sugar from my diet. It had always played a huge part in my diet and it showed with my weight being 240 at the age of twenty. It not only showed on my body size, it showed on my skin. Processed sugar is a toxin, and with the skin being the largest organ of the human body; this is where your body tries to release the toxins put into it. The body tries to expel the toxins through the skin which forms as spots on the skin surface.
There are a lot of natural sweeteners to replace processed sugar with like fruit and vegetables. Your taste buds will appreciate the break when you replace the sugar with natural sweeteners.

2. Find what it is you love and go after it.

I received a good income from working in the corporate world, but I had no passion for my job. I felt there was so much more I could do and was frustrated with myself for not doing it. Feeling completely frustrated and having a face full of red spots was making me very depressed with my life. I decided I needed a change so I took the leap and quit my job and decided to pursue my passions. With that decision made, my frustrations were gone and my skin began to clear.

3. Products that contain chemicals should not be used.

This refers to all products not just what you use for face care. It includes; what you use in the shower, what you wash your clothes with and the products you use to clean your house. Read the labels on every product that comes into contact with your body instead of buying the most advertised one. There are many natural products you can use that will gain the same effects for you; coconut oil for your body cleansing, vinegar as a household cleaner and soap nuts for doing your laundry.

4. Honey is a great alternative for face cleansing.

I began using unpasteurized honey to clean my face in 2011 and have never stopped. It is a simple process of dampening my face, putting a small amount in my palm and with my fingertips I gently rub the honey into my face. I wash the honey off with clean water. I stopped using a moisturizer at the same time I began the honey use and it only took a month for my face to show a change. My skin began to produce its own oils and I now have very few items in my toiletries bag and more money in my pocketbook.

5. Go outside.

The sun will provide your body with vitamin D; but this isn’t the only reason for you to get outside. You will also get; a break, exercise, fresh air and perspective. All of these will help to keep you balanced, which in turn is good for your skin.

Follow these simple, natural steps and you will see miracles work on your skin. By following these I have gone from a self-conscious, acne-ridden person to one who has a beautiful complexion and a lot of confidence.
